Your entry point to Florence, with a delightful Basilica on its back

Piazza del Duomo is located in the heart of Florence's historic center. It is dominated by the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and related buildings such as Giotto's bell tower and the baptistery of San Giovanni.

Possibly one most well-known piazza in Florence, Piazza della Signoria has been the central hub of the city since the early middle ages. Situated a couple of large city blocks from the Duomo and just meters from the Arno River, the piazza is the home to Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.

Piazzale Michelangelo offers a breathtaking view over the city of Florence. Because it is both up high and south of the river, the view captures the entire city. From there, you can enjoy the full, perfect view of Duomo as well as the towers of Piazza della Signoria, Badia Fiorentina, and the Pazzi Chapel.

After the Duomo this must be the second most famous site in Florence. Ponte Vecchio is the oldest bridge in Florence, hence the name. Built in 966 it was the only bridge crossing the Arno in Florence until 1218.
